Kroger is aggressively expanding its ClickList service across markets in the U.S., allowing customers to order groceries online and pick them up at stores.
“There’s a reason there have been village bazaars throughout the ages,” said Joe Feldman, an analyst with Telsey Advisory Group. “Home delivery is wonderful for customers, but it’s really hard – and expensive – for retailers. Nobody’s got this figured out yet with shipping cost for groceries.”
