Retailers will need to find a way to make up for that if they want to be successful this year, Dana Telsey, CEO of Telsey Advisory Group, said. “Everyone’s come through a really difficult 2020. And just the theme of joy: How can you make it be a joyful holiday?” Telsey said. “Especially at a time when typical traditions may not be the same as in the past, as families may not be able to get together in person.”
